Department of City and Regional Planning Assistant Adjunct Professor Karen Trapenberg Frick is being honored for her dedication to advising students. She is one of only three campuswide recipients of the 2016 Award for Outstanding Faculty Advising from the UC Berkeley Advising Council.

“This award recognizes the positive impact our recipients have on student learning, performance, engagement and progress and the many ways they contribute to a culture of advising excellence on the Berkeley campus,” says Cathy Koshland, the Vice Chancellor for Undergraduate Education.

In addition to teaching, advising and conducting research, Trapenberg Frick is also Co-Director of the University of California Transportation Center (UCTC) and Assistant Director of the University of California Transportation Center on Economic Competitiveness in Transportation (UCCONNECT).
