High Speed Rail: Challenges and Opportunities for California

ITS Director Samer Madanat moderates a panel discussion of high-speed rail that includes UC professors Carlos Daganzo, Betty Deakin, Mark Hansen, and Arpad Horvath. With the passage of a nearly $10-billion bond issue in November 2008, Californians approved the biggest transportation infrastructure project in the United States since the completion of the interstate highway system.
