Linda Lim, Doctoral Candidate in Civil and Environmental Engineering
Linda Lim, a doctoral candidate in Civil and Environmental Engineering at UC Berkeley, is the recipient of the 2026 Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor (OGSI) Award. She served as an instructor for Professor Marta González’s Human Mobility and Network Science course, where she demonstrated exceptional dedication to teaching and student engagement.
The OGSI Award honors graduate student instructors across UC Berkeley for their excellence in teaching and mentorship. Recipients are nominated by their departments, and the award recognizes their meaningful contributions to student learning and the academic community.
Beyond the classroom, Linda is a Ph.D. student in Systems Engineering whose research focuses on transportation science and technology, including advancing mass transportation systems and improving autonomous vehicle safety. As a proud Cambodian-American and daughter of Khmer refugees, she brings a deeply personal commitment to innovation, representation, and impact in her work. She also hosts the No LIM-ITS podcast, where she engages with voices across engineering and beyond.
