Juan PestanaWe are sad to announce the passing of our former colleague, Juan Pestana, on the night of September 16, 2025 in Lexington, Massachusetts. His friends in the Geosystem Engineering Program were informed by his daughter Maria. 

Juan was a professor at UC Berkeley for 23 years and led the UC Pavement Research Center from 2014-2017. He was a dear colleague, and we will miss him.
