Dewey Data: Dewey Datasets

The Dewey Data Platform provides licensed access to datasets provided by corporate partners. The datasets cover the following subject areas: urban planning and real estate, behavioral economics and public policy, marketing and management, and corporate finance.

The Dewey Data platform provides licensed access to datasets provided by corporate partners. The datasets cover the following subject areas:  

  • Urban planning and real estate
  • Behavioral economics and public policy
  • Marketing and management
  • Corporate finance
  • Foot traffic
  • Construction permits
  • Healthcare
  • Workforce
  • Consumer behavior
  • Transportation

To login to Dewey Data, select "Login" and "create account" with your UC Berkeley email. After the account has been created, login using your UC Berkeley email, at which point you will be directed to Calnet authentication.  

Dewey Data has specific terms and conditions for UC Berkeley users:

  • Authorized users include active UC Berkeley faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students.
  • Authorized users may NOT collaborate with researchers from other institutions unless they are part of an authorized research team. Please email librarydataservices@berkeley.edu for more information. 
  • Authorized users must cease the use of Dewey data and destroy all records of the licensed data at the end of the subscription term. The user may retain and continue to use the data if necessary to finalize the publication of an accepted publication.
  • Authorized users may only publish insights and summaries of the data, never the raw data.

UC Berkeley currently has access to Dewey data through April 2027.
