Assembly Committee on Jobs, Economic Development and the Economy Hearing

At the April 27th hearing of the Assembly Committee on Jobs, Economic Development and the Economy, Professor Alex Bayen was invited to testify by Assemblyman Al Muratsuchi (D-Torrance; BA ’86) on AB 538, to establish an aerospace commission in California. Bayen, who is a professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, is the Director of the Institute of Transportation Studies. Bayen’s statement outlined how a new state commission could create an advantage for California in the next phase of space exploration and aeronautics technology. Pictured Assm.
