The Institute of Transportation Studies welcomed visitors from The Korea Transport Institute (KOTI) to UC Berkeley on March 16, 2023.
ITS Director Daniel A. Rodriguez and ITS affiliates met with KOTI president Dr. Oh, Jaehak, KOTI Department of Air and Space Transportation Research Fellow (Chief director) Dr. Park, Jinseo, KOTI Department of Metropolitan and Urban Transport Research Fellow (Chief director) Dr. Park, Kyounga, and KOTI Department of Air and Space Transportation Associate Research Fellow Dr. Kim, Myeonghyeon to learn about each other’s institutes, research interests, and potential future collaborations.
Partners for Advanced Transportation Technology (PATH) researchers Dr. Hao Liu and Dr. Peggy Wang talked about automation research at PATH, Civil and Environmental Engineering Professor Raja Sengupta and doctoral candidate Ang Li talked about research on airspace, drones, and urban air mobility.
The visit was rounded out with PATH researchers Dr. Xiao-Yun Lu and John Spring, who led a tour of one of the PATH platooning trucks with cooperative adaptive cruise control.
