EVOPT Planner Lite (Beta) illustrationIn a collaboration between eCALNRELBerkeley Lab, and Microgrid Labs, ITS affiliate faculty and Civil and Environmetal Engineering Professor Scot Moura is  proud to announce the public release of EVOPT Planner Lite (Beta)
EVOPT is a cloud-based tool for planning EV Fleets. It estimates total cost of ownership, emissions, energy, and more using physics-based vehicle models and convex optimization techniques developed in eCAL. The student researchers whose codes are directly underneath the hood include Soomin Woo, Tugba Ozturk, and Rohan Datta.
The planner is currently being used to electrify bus fleets around the world, including transit agencies in Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts, and Italy!
A free trial version is available now, especially for education and exploration.
