On October 23, ITS Berkeley welcomed Yi Liu, Distinguished AI Scientist at Expedia Group, for a Transportation Seminar exploring the emerging role of artificial intelligence in the travel industry.
Held at UC Berkeley’s McLaughlin Hall, the seminar focused on AI agents and their growing adoption across industries, with particular attention to how AI-powered travel agents could reshape the way people plan and experience travel.
On October 16, ITS Berkeley welcomed Bryant Walker Smith, Associate Professor of Law and (by courtesy) Engineering at the University of South Carolina, to the ITS Berkeley Transportation Seminar for a presentation titled “Toward Trustworthy (Automated Driving) Companies.”
On October 2, ITS Berkeley brought together transportation experts, researchers, and policy leaders for a timely conversation on the future of transportation in California and the opportunities and priorities facing the state’s next governor.
Held at UC Berkeley’s Bauer Wurster Hall, the roundtable explored some of the most pressing issues shaping California’s transportation system, from transportation funding and public transit to electric vehicle adoption, autonomous vehicles, land use, and climate policy.
