Amanda manages communications for ITS Berkeley and serves as the media contact for providing experts on transportation topics and placing articles. She manages the website and social media outlets for ITS, writes press releases and news stories, and acts as photographer, videographer and chronicler of events related to faculty, staff, and students in transportation.
Now full time, she split her time between ITS Berkeley and the Berkeley Water Center at UC Berkeley for five years. Previously, she worked in communications at the University of Idaho and worked as a newspaper editor and reporter and radio news director, in addition to being an adjunct professor and newspaper adviser at several community colleges. She earned her undergraduate degree at the Universty of Alaska Fairbanks and her masters at Cardiff University.
