Steve Morrison is the editor-in-chief and the Chairman of the Board of the Journal of Transport Economics and Policy. From 1998-2012 he was the chair of Northeastern’s Department of Economics. In addition, Morrison has also held visiting positions at Harvard, MIT, the London School of Economics, and the Brookings Institution. Morrison is the author of numerous articles on transportation economics and air transportation and he is co-author (with Clifford Winston) of The Economic Effects of Airline Deregulation (1986) and The Evolution of the Airline Industry (1995), both published by the Brookings Institution. He has written many op-ed pieces for newspapers and has testified before Congress on airline competition matters on numerous occasions. He has received the Transportation and Public Utilities Group of the American Economic Association (TPUG) “Distinguished Member” award (2003) and the Transportation Research Forum’s “Distinguished Transportation Researcher” award (2008).
