Kazuya Kawamura is a Professor at the Department of Urban Planning and Policy at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has managed over $2 million in external research grants and has over 100 publications on a variety of topics including transport economics, travel analysis, and freight planning. He holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the North Carolina State University, Raleigh and PhD and Master's degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
