Alex is a Doctoral Candidate in City and Regional Planning at the University of California Berkeley, and a Graduate Student Researcher at the Terner Center for Housing Innovation. His work focuses on urban policy and big data, with a particular focus on residential mobility, housing tenure, and neighborhood change. Alex's research has been published in journals including Housing Studies, Urban Studies, and Urban Environment.
Alex also consult on a range of data analysis projects related to housing policy. Previous projects include the development of national pandemic rent debt estimates for PolicyLink and the creation of a displacement monitoring dashboard for the City of Seattle.
