Bio/CV: 

The multifaceted sports and entertainment executive Taj Tashombe, is the Vice President of Government and External Affairs for the Oakland A’s. Tashombe oversees political, business and community engagement for the A’s groundbreaking pursuit of a $12 Billion waterfront ballpark and community development project in Oakland. 

Tashombe has also amassed over 18 years of experience as a brand marketing executive, producer, artist and co-founder of ‘All Black Excellence’ a new production company focused on storytelling of the black diaspora. His career has included producing strategic marketing, tv, film, digital and experiential partnerships with all major networks, studios and many Fortune 100 brands such as Toyota, Hilton Hotels and Hyundai on product launches.

Billions of lives have been reached through his work on some of the most-watched programs in history. Tashombe has creative directed several blue chip sports and entertainment portfolios in conjunction with the Super Bowl, Grammy’s, Academy Awards, Olympics, FIFA World Cup, NBA on TNT, NFL Sunday Night Football, and MLB Network to name a few.

Tashombe has also led production of large scale branded entertainment partnership campaigns and product placement for award-winning series such as AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead’, FOX’s ‘24,’ TNT’s ‘Inside The NBA’, USA’s ‘Burn Notice’, and the critically acclaimed ‘Re:Mix Labs Tour’ and documentary film ‘Re:Generation’ with Hyundai USA.

As an executive grounded by his community roots, Tashombe has been recognized for his commitment to servant leadership and has received accolades such as the 2019 San Francisco Business Times ‘40 under 40’ award, the 2020 ‘African American Executive of the Year’ by the Bay Area’s African American business, community and elected leaders and in 2021 Tashombe was honored by the Oakland NAACP Chapter with the Black Male Achievement Award.

Tashombe proudly serves as a board member to several prominent Bay Area organizations, and is also an ambassador to the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington D.C.

An Oakland native who once worked as an intern for Congresswoman Barbara Lee, the Port of Oakland and Oakland A’s. Tashombe graduated high school in the Seattle, WA area and attended Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA for his undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.

As an avid musician and recording artist debuting his first EP in 2019 entitled ‘R&V’. Currently, Tashombe is producing a full album for release later this year.

Tashombe resides in the East Bay with his beautiful wife Morgan and daughters Isley and Lennox.
