Dr. AlKadri has been associated with PATH since 1992. He began as a Resident Research Representative for Caltrans then as a Resident Caltrans Researcher. He worked with Drs. Steve Shladover and Randy Hall on the development of the National Intelligent Transportation Systems Architecture (NITSA). Ipsita Banerjee is a transport planner with interests in sustainability, transit research, and travel demand analysis. She has worked at SafeTREC as a graduate student researcher and as a policy and program analyst. In her present role as Research Data Analyst, she works on Caltrans’s project on Safe Systems Research and Implementation. Jeffrey Chang is a Research Administrator at the Safe Transportation Research and Education Center (SafeTREC). He assists the Finance Manager in administering SafeTREC's finances and also works with research staff to help coordinate project activities. He started working at SafeTREC as a student assistant, and after receiving his degree in Molecular and Cell Biology at UC Berkeley, joined SafeTREC full-time.

Dr. Jean Doig is a postdoctoral scholar at UC Berkeley SafeTREC. Previously, he served as a postdoctoral scholar and continues to serve as a lecturer in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at UC Berkeley. Dr. Doig holds an M.S. and Ph.D. in civil and environmental engineering from UC Berkeley, as well as a B.S. in civil engineering from the Catholic University of Peru (PUCP).

Matthew Elke joined TSRC in May 2012, after receiving his Master of Science in Engineering from UC Berkeley. His prior research included metals and energy analysis of automobile construction and the life-cycle emissions associated with the production and use phase of automobiles. His main interests focus on the increased penetration of, and the life-cycle emissions associated with, battery electric, hybrid drive, and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and how they compare to traditional internal combustion engine vehicles.

Noelani Fixler is a Policy and Program Analyst for UC Berkeley Safe Transportation Research and Education Center (SafeTREC) whose work focuses on the Community Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Training (CPBST) and Complete Streets Safety Assessments (CSSA) programs.
