UC Berkeley SafeTREC selected for new USDOT UTC Center for Pedestrian and Bicyclist Safety

SafeTREC has joined a new U.S. Department of Transportation-funded Tier One University Transportation Center (UTC) led by the University of New Mexico (UNM), The Center for Pedestrian and Bicyclist Safety (CPBS). The CPBS will receive $2 million a year for the next five years to advance research on pedestrian and bicyclist safety. The UTC also includes University of Wisconsin, University of Tennessee, and San Diego State University. Read more

PATH Receives Nine Caltrans Grants

California Partners for Advanced Transportation Technology (PATH) has been awarded nine projects by the Caltrans Research and Deployment Advisory Committee (RDAC) during this year's proposal cycle, totaling $ 3,340,357.

“This is a high recognition of PATH's contribution to meeting the California transportation goals to provide a safe, sustainable, integrated, equitable and efficient transportation system to enhance California’s economy and livability,” says Chief Operations Officer Zema Katsenlson.
