Professor Shaheen Shares Scenarios for Post-COVID Public Transit

Professor Susan Shaheen from Berkeley’s Institute of Transportation Studies testified before an informational hearing of the California Environmental Legislative Caucus this week on the future of public transit. The caucus co-chair Senator Ben Allen (D-Redondo Beach; ’08) engaged members in a thoughtful discussion on what is needed to move public transit forward in the aftermath of the pandemic and how public transit can best serve communities with new technologies that might assist with expansion.
