BMW expands ChargeForward incentive program to EV drivers in the contiguous United States

The UC Berkeley Transportation Sustainability Research Center conducts an evaluation of the BMW USA ChargeForward program.

As BMW of North America is expanding its national smart charging service, ChargeForward, so all BMW North America EV and PHEV customers in the contiguous 48 states are eligible to earn cash incentives for optimizing their charging, TSRC will provide research support to the program that could enable significant carbon emission reductions from electric vehicle charging.

The Institute of Transportation Studies Berkeley (ITS Berkeley) is excited to award 16 projects through the State of California’s ongoing, annual allocation from the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 (Senate Bill 1) and a one-time allocation in the 2021 State Budget for the Resilient and Innovative Mobility Initiative (RIMI).
