Bio:
Professor Rodriguez's research explores the intersection of transportation, land development, and their resulting health and environmental impacts. Much of his work is driven by the challenges of mobility and urban development, particularly as they affect low-income communities. He has investigated how changes in the physical environment—such as the placement of bus routes, rail lines, supermarkets, and trails—relate to shifts in the built environment, individual behavior, public health, and air quality. Additionally, his research examines how land management tools can be leveraged to promote transit-oriented development and to capture increases in property value resulting from public investment.
